These are the films that have been the lifeblood, the validating factor to remind Africans that the culture is real and that diversity is more than the latest buzzword. Independent films present an authentic view and reflection of Africans in America and throughout the diaspora. Discussions after viewing remind Africans who we are with reassurance that we will survive.
